The Trial Round “The First Challenge” is conducted in online mode under supervised conditions. Compulsory enrolment.

Round 2 : National Round
“The Rise of Champions”

The National Round “The Rise of Champions” is conducted in online mode under supervised conditions.

Round 3 : Grand Finale

The Grand Finale “The Battle of Nations” is conducted in online mode under supervised conditions. Real medals, certificates & trophies.

Questions

Who can participate in WMT? +

Any student from the class range 5–10 from any country can participate. Both individual registrations and school bulk registrations are accepted.

Is WMT conducted online or offline? +

The Trial Round (Round 1) will be conducted online. The National Round and Grand Final may be conducted at designated centers or in a supervised online format, depending on the country.

What curriculum does WMT follow? +

WMT problems are designed to be accessible to students from any curriculum (CBSE, ICSE, IB, Cambridge, Common Core, etc.). The syllabus is based on broadly applicable mathematical concepts at each age level, ensuring fairness across all systems.

How are the Grand Final winners determined? +

The Grand Final consists of an online/written examination followed by a speed-round challenge. Results are tabulated by an independent panel of mathematicians. In the event of a tie, tiebreaker problems are administered.

Do all participants receive certificates? +

Yes. Every student who completes the National Round receives a WMT Certificate of Participation. Students who qualify for higher rounds receive additional certificates of merit.
